Accessible Teams

We strive to ensure that New Wine Festival is an event that welcomes, enables, and recognises the value of everyone and the unique gifts they bring to God’s Kingdom. We aim to remove any barriers which may prevent people from playing as full a part in the festival as they are able.

The New Wine Accessible Church Ministry provides several teams which serve and support people with additional needs* and their families. We would love for you to join one of our accessible teams as we build this essential ministry. Experience of working with people who have additional needs is not essential, as full training and support will be given both before and during the event.

*The term ‘additional needs’ includes physical and sensory disabilities, learning and cognitive needs, neurodivergence, mental health, trauma-related needs, illness and other undiagnosed needs.

The 3 sub-teams are:

  • Full-time

    Hours: 8 per day

    Age: 18+

Enhanced DBS required (Adult Workforce with Adult Barred List)

Arrival: Monday 27th July from 12pm

About: The Access Team supports adults with a range of conditions and differences including learning disabilities and autism. It exists mainly to enable individuals to access Bible teaching, worship and community who might otherwise struggle with this.

We use multi-sensory approaches and try to support spoken and written language with visuals such as action, modelling, pictures, symbols and signing, and we encourage our delegates to get involved. We also support delegates to attend the main sessions in Arena, Impact and Mini Top in the mornings and evenings. We do not manage personal care.

Please note that all team applications will close on Tuesday 14th July 2026.

    Role Profile

About: We’re looking for friendly, kind and flexible volunteers, who enjoy working in a team and are willing to get alongside the children and young people, engage in different activities and have fun! We’d also love volunteers to have an understanding of different communication and sensory needs and be happy to learn how to support individuals with such needs. Prior experience of working with children or young people, such as serving on a kids/youth team at your church, is preferred.*

*Serving on the kids and youth teams can be physically demanding and require a lot of moving around and sitting on the floor. If this may prove difficult for you, please contact  info@new-wine.org to discuss how we might best support your needs.

Please note that all team applications will close on Tuesday 14th July 2026.
