ONSITE CAMPING
Included with every onsite ticket is your camping pitch – no extra fees here!
When you book, we ask that you select which church group or village you’d like to be a part of and whether you’re bringing your own tent/caravan or sharing with someone who’s already booked in.
Then you can get the tent out, check all your pegs are still there and start planning your week of camping!
Villages
If you choose to camp onsite with us, you’ll be allocated a ‘Village’ to camp in – with a colour and number to help you locate it. Each village is made up of a group of churches or individual bookings, hosted by a friendly ‘Village Host’ to welcome you who will map out your village and ensure space for you.
You’ll be allocated camping with others from the church that you choose on your booking, or in one of the alternate choices (such as the Social Village, Team Village for those on team or BSL/Deaf Village). Our team of Village Hosts carefully plan each village layout leading up to the festival, so we ask that you don’t try to save extra space and be honest about how much camping equipment you’ll be bringing when you book.
We consider loads of factors when allocating villages, such as additional camping needs, electricity, size of churches, but we also try to camp local churches near each other.
If you have any additional or accessibility needs that we will need to factor in when allocating your village, please fill in the Accessibility & Additional Needs Form included in your confirmation email as soon as you book.
We can’t guarantee any camping requests can be met if don’t know before allocation begins in late May/early June, so please make the request at the point of booking. Once villages are allocated, we cannot accommodate change requests due to safety considerations.
If you’d like to link your church with another group, you can submit this request via info@new-wine.org as early as possible. We’ll do our best to ensure that your villages are either the same or close enough for your groups to meet easily. We don’t carry over linked church requests from previous years due to changes in churches & villages, so please let us know each year before the event if you wish to link with another group.
Village HALLS
Each camping zone colour will also have a ‘Village Hall’, a communal space hosted by a ‘Village Hall Host’. The village hall is a sheltered space containing several picnic benches, hot water at set times throughout the day, a ‘medical/mobility priority’ electric charging point, and free phone charging towers. Your Village Hall also plays host to various activities and opportunities to meet others throughout the week.
TOILETS & SHOWERS
Toilet and shower facilities are within reach of all villages and comprised of both temporary and hardstanding blocks. We’re proud to say that we exceed the number of toilets and showers expected of events of our size, but queues may still be busy at peak times.
In addition to the usual shower cubicles, we are excited to announce the return of the boutique shower blocks located across the site.
· These blocks encompass male and female leisure-centre style changing rooms outside the shower units, creating a more spacious environment to change before and after showering and reducing queue times. There are also ‘changing pods’ in each changing room for extra privacy.
ICE PACK EXCHANGE
You can exchange thawed ice packs each day for frozen ones to help keep food cool at our Ice Pack Exchange.
Only ice packs between 400-600g can be added to the pool, and we cannot guarantee that your ice packs are returned at the end of the week. In hot weather, demand may outweigh supply.
SOCIAL VILLAGE
The social village is specifically designed for delegates who are coming with five or less people and who don’t know anyone else attending the event. It’s a great way to make new friends and to share the experience with others who are also coming on their own.
CARS & VEHICLES
All cars need to be moved to the car parks after your arrival on Day 1. Only live-in vehicles can remain on the campsites (campervans, RVs or camping-adapted vans). We don’t charge any fees, and you don’t need a permit to use the car parks, but your car cannot remain by your tent throughout the week and no vehicles can be driven around the campsite for any reason. Check out our Accessibility page for details about Buggy Buses and Accessible Parking.
ELECTRICAL HOOK-UPS & CHARGING
Electrical hook-ups are available in certain locations across the site, which can provide you with a 16A camping socket to plug into. You’ll need to bring the correct connection cables for this: a 25m 16A cable and, if you’re in a tent, a 16A-13A connection box.
By booking a hook-up, your church group will be allocated to a village with an electrical supply, meaning they remain with you!
We aim to provide continuous power throughout the festival, but occasional outages may occur. Please plan accordingly, especially if you are bringing temperature-sensitive medication, which remains your responsibility.
Charging for mobility scooters and other medical/mobility equipment will also be available for free in your local village hall.
How do I book an electrical-hookup?
You can choose an electrical hook-up during your booking for the infrastructure and power fee of £160 until these are sold out.
If you require an electric hook-up due to additional needs or a medical condition, please email info@new-wine.org as you may be eligible for a bursary to cover the cost. The deadline for medical bursary applications is 1st June 2026.
If you do not choose a hook-up during booking or have one confirmed after applying via email with us through the bursary, we will not be able to provide one onsite and you won’t be able to connect to the supply.
TENT/CARAVAN HIRE
If you'd like to stay onsite but don't have a tent or caravan, we can recommend the following companies who have supplied to delegates in the past.
Please ensure that your hire is until the end of the event, as hire companies won't be allowed access to site until the day after the event finishes on 3rd August 2026.
Hire suppliers must abide by our access rules and timings. If your hire company is not on this list, please ensure that they are in contact with us regarding delivery and collection access prior to the event.

TOP TIPS FOR CAMPING
The site is an agricultural showground and although we do all we can to cater for camping, we cannot provide all the facilities of a regular campsite. Our campsite advise is that you:
Bring a torch – the villages aren’t always lit at night.
Ensure batteries are charged and battery charging packs with you, as charging items can’t be left unattended.
Bring a reusable bottle and ensure you drink enough water. There are lots of water refill points around the event and in the villages.
Bring a few extra toilet rolls – they’re provided, but just in case!
Only use non-formaldehyde chemicals for chemical toilets and use only the Elsan points marked on the map for disposal.
Wash hands with soap and water regularly to avoid illness.
Respect those around you regarding noise and space, and keep the campsite quiet between midnight and 7am.
When using gas containers, follow manufacturer’s instructions and secure hoses properly. To change a gas container, ensure you are in the open and away from any naked flame such as a lit cooker.
Don’t use generators or engines, including those in motorhomes or campervans as this is not permitted.
OFF-SITE ACCOMMODATION
If camping isn’t your thing, you can book an 'Offsite’ ticket and stay offsite in a nearby hotel or Airbnb. Offsite tickets offer cheaper rates than camping tickets and allow access to the festival from 7am to 11:30pm each day.
There are many off-site accommodation options not far from the showground in Shepton Mallet, Castle Cary, Glastonbury and further afield. These include local hotels, B&Bs, holiday homes, glamping and camping sites. You can also find lots of info about places to stay on the showground website here: Accommodation at Bath and West Showground.
